The term “waste” has been embedded in our society as the idea that materials become worthless once they’ve served their originally intended purposes. However, by shifting our perspective, much value can be discovered in the material streams we’ve inaccurately labeled as “waste”. To discover these often overlooked values for yourself, we welcome you to join SU-CSCS and NYSAR3 for an inspiring, behind-the-scenes tour of exemplary operations working to reduce our reliance on landfills and incinerators, while realizing the numerous social, economic, and environmental benefits of sustainable materials management.
