Spring 2016 Internship Opportunity for College Students

APPLY NOW! Spring 2016 Internship Opportunity (for credit or pay) in the
Sustainable Materials Management Stewardship Program

Application Deadline: Monday, February 1, 2016 – 5:00pm
Commitment: 35-50 hours over the course of the semester

First, come learn what it’s all about…
The Syracuse University Environmental Finance Center (Syracuse EFC) will host an intensive training series at the Syracuse Center of Excellence to train the next generation of “Sustainable Materials Management (SMM) Stewards.”  Stewards will learn about SMM concepts and practices (including Reduction, Reuse, Recycling, and Composting), youth engagement, and SMM education. As an SMM Steward, you and your peers will have the opportunity to engage with Syracuse EFC staff, industry experts, and non-profits that specialize in SMM practices.

Then, take it to the streets and make it happen!
After the training, Syracuse EFC staff members will mentor you through the process of choosing an organization to work with on programs related to SMM. SMM Stewards will apply what they learned in training to these organizations’ programs by implementing their choice of two or three projects identified by Syracuse EFC staff prior to the training.
