The Metropolitan University’s Center for Sustainable Development Studies and the Puerto Rico Recycling Partnership (PRRP) have teamed up to co-create the first college-level Recycling Industry Curriculum in Puerto Rico. The curriculum, which was launched in April at Metropolitan University, provides practical knowledge and applications to help streamline and commercialize recycling activity, and to strengthen the industry as an important area of socioeconomic development for Puerto Rico. The course is co-authored by Professor María Juncos, Director of the Centro de Estudio para el Desarrollo Sustentable and Jessica Seiglie of the PRRP. Members of the PRRP participated in the course both as students and lecturers.
