Feb 5 – First GREEN-PR Training a Success

On February 5-6, more than 50 university students and 20 teachers from all corners of Puerto Rico gathered to learn from renowned experts in Sustainable Materials Management (SMM), Leadership and Green Infrastructure.

Led by Syracuse EFC, this intensive two-day training launched the GREEN-PR internship, part of the Generating Replicable Environmental Education Networks in Puerto Rico initiative that is establishing environmental education hubs, teaching K-12 students about SMM, and providing mini-grants for environmental education programs throughout the island. Funding for GREEN-PR is provided by USDA Rural Development and EPA funding.
